Our Work
HEALTH
United Way tackles issues such as access to health care services, care for the caregiver, supports for independence, healthy development, early intervention, substance abuse and mental health counseling.
At United Way, we aim to facilitate physical and behavioral health services, take care of our seniors and assist those with disabilities.
United Way's Women's Leadership Council supports Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), which helps change the lives of vulnerable first-time moms and their babies through ongoing home visits from registered nurses. An investment in NFP saves communities more than it costs by reducing welfare, health care and juvenile justice expenditures.
Strategic Plan
Key Strategies for Health include: facilitate physical and behavioral health services, take care of our seniors and assist those with disabilities.
